We serve to follow in the footsteps of Jesus Christ as He said, “For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve.” Serving is a means to glorify God and edify the body of Christ.
We have LOTS of serve opportunities! You can find descriptions of serving needs, by ministry, in the section below. When you find something that interests you, complete the volunteer form.
SERVE OPPORTUNITIES
WEEKEND
Do you love to smile and get to know new people? This is the serve opportunity for you. It is always nice to get a warm welcome into the Worship Center!
A special place to work behind the scenes and prepare for a moment in our Worship Gatherings where we remember our Savior.
Does the smell of coffee and good company make you excited? Join our barista team as we make coffee drinks and make a welcoming environment, especially for our first-time guests.
Do you enjoy administrative tasks and being organized? Help us stock the backs of our seats with Connect Cards, Announcement flyers, and Offering Envelopes in order for us to best pray for people and inform people of upcoming details.
Some people are blessed with an extra sense of generosity. Is that you? You may enjoy being a part of the offering moment in our gatherings and celebrate with our church family as we give to the Lord.
Do you have medical expertise that you can use in emergency situations? We are always in need of congregants to serve in this unique way.
Do you enjoy waving, having a smily face, and directing traffic? Come join our parking team!
We are always thankful for our security team that keeps our campus and worship gatherings safe.
The BVG Missions Recycle Ministry is open on Sundays from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM. It is a great opportunity for our people to bring recyclables AND donate to BVG Missions.

ADULT MINISTRIES
Do you enjoy worshiping, studying the Bible, and growing in Christ alongside other men? Do you have musical, technical, or event planning abilities? Our Men’s volunteer team is unrivaled!
Women’s Ministry has a wide variety of opportunities to serve, from welcoming and hospitality, to mentoring, to hosting a small group. Available weekly? Monthly? Once a year? We have a place for you!

KIDS MINISTRY
In the Toddler Nursery (18 – 35 months), each week is full of objects for toddlers to touch; wild and wiggly activities to get them moving; crafts they will love, and real life situations to which they can relate. Our goal is to help each child master a monthly key concept about God by creatively repeating the concept to make it stick.
Ohana Island is a destination for children ages 3 years old through kindergarten. Our curriculum is designed to teach children 3 basic truths: God made me, God loves me, and Jesus wants to be my friend forever. Our lessons include engaging games and activities, as well as an interactive Bible story, worship and small group time.
Elementary ministry is passionate about building kids’ spiritual lives by providing another godly voice alongside the parents. We have incredible volunteers who are committed to enrich your child’s life, to partner with you and to cheer you on as you help your child grow spiritually.
STUDENT MINISTRIES
Enjoy pouring into a younger generation? Join our Middle School team as we disciple 6th-8th grade students in their walks with Jesus.
Remember high school? Our High School Ministry team is always seeking mature believers who can connect with 9th-12th graders and enjoy helping the next generation experience spiritual growth.

ADMINISTRATIVE
Do you miss office life? Enjoy working with people or doing administrative tasks? We love to see EVERYONE use the gifts God has given them! Whether it is greeting someone on the office phone with a kind voice, helping plan an event, or doing simple computer work, we would love to have you join our team!
MARKETING & COMMUNICATION
Take photos in your free time? Help out our church family by capturing sweet moments of church life, ministry events, and fellowship. Photo ops occur daily!
Do you enjoy taking/producing videos in your personal life? We would love to have you join us and use your gifts to capture the “life of the church” through video!
Enjoy being active and helping your church, but need a flexible schedule?
Helpers come to the Modesto campus worship center as their schedule allows during the week. They put envelopes, cards and pens in seat backs, in preparation for weekend gatherings.
Throughout the year, we send various letters to our congregation and need help stuffing envelopes. Other times, we need help assembling handouts for weekend gatherings.
If you’re available weekdays and enjoy lively conversation with other believers while working with your hands to accomplish a common goal, this is the place for you!

Appreciate clean and well-maintained facilities when you attend an athletic event? So do the students, visitors, and families of Big Valley Christian School. With over 30 acres of school and athletic facilities, opportunities exist for people of all skill levels to help keep our buildings and grounds looking good. Join us!
